Here’s Your Travel Itinerary for Your Visit to the Gold Coast

January 14, 2022

If you need some assistance arranging your trip to the Gold Coast this year, we’ve put up a list of things to do and places to see while visiting our gorgeous city of Gold Coast.

Our coastal city of Queensland is known for its extensive stretches of sand, surfing places, and a complex system of inland canals and rivers. But the Gold Coast is known for more than that. There are also world-class theme parks and food options for the whole family to enjoy in the city.

Here’s a list of all the things you can do on your upcoming holiday;

Experience a beach-side breakfast

An excellent breakfast with the whole family is the most pleasing way to start the day. And the most incredible place to do so is at a family-friendly restaurant with a pleasant beachfront setting. Yes, the restaurant is about 300 meters away from the gorgeous sands of the beach.

From 6:00 AM, the Little Mermaid serves handcrafted coffee from Eumundi Coffee Co., which is freshly roasted. The restaurant also offers healthy breakfasts, including Acai Bowls and Brunch Bowls, and the famous Eggs Benedict and Avocado on Toast. Little Mermaid has a unique menu for your little ones, like a Beef Small Poke Bowl and Waffle if you have little ones. Keep in mind that all children’s meals include a soft drink or juice as well as ice cream.

The Little Mermaid also serves lunch, including gourmet burgers, Ginger Wagyu Beef Poke Bowl, Little Mermaid Fried Chicken Bowl, and more. If you visit on a Sunday, the Little Mermaid hosts a Live Music Sunday Session, which features a fun ambience, delicious food, and drinks. You can sample local brews or their extensive wine list and excellent cocktails!

Enter an unbelievable world

When you hear the word unbelievable, what comes to mind? Does it involve Ripley’s? If you answered yes, you are correct. The Gold Coast is home to two fantastic attractions: Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium and Ripley’s 7D Moving Theatre. These two attractions are certainly worth visiting.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium has over 300 exhibits and relics. The odditorium has improved and added new galleries for you to explore since its inception. There is the Funplex, an interactive exhibition full of optical illusions. There’s also an art gallery that’s not like the ones you’ve seen on field trips with your class.

The odditiorium also debuted its new exhibit, which included a life-size replica of Queen Padmé Amidala’s most resourceful astromech droid, R2-D2. Not only that but there’s more! A new Ripley’s 7D Moving Theatre has opened, where you may watch a movie while also participating in it. It is your attraction if you want to be a hero and save the world or fight monsters.

Try Gold Coast’s famous flame-grilled ribs

Try some of the city’s famous flame-grilled ribs and premium beef steaks for lunch. The location to go is Hurricane’s Grill & Bar Surfers Paradise. Pauline and Tony Teixeira created the restaurant concept in 1995.

Their menu is primarily influenced by Tony’s traditional Portuguese history and contains some South African and Modern Australian inspirations and an emphasis on top quality Australian ingredients.

Hurricane’s Grill & Bar Surfers Paradise serves grass-fed beef burgers, barbecued chicken, fresh seafood, vegetarian entrees, specialty salads, delectable desserts, and high-quality wines, spirits, and cocktails, in addition to their popular offerings. Make sure you reserve a table ahead of time.

Create meaningful family moments

Several family-friendly attractions are on the Gold Coast. Make a point to visit theme parks such as Sea World and create memories. For the past 50 years, Australia’s number one marine park has been open to the public. It would be wonderful to be among the 50 million visitors who have come and enjoyed Australia’s most popular family theme park.

During that time, Sea World made several improvements and added additional attractions. You may visit and enjoy the rides or book an animal adventure, such as the Dolphin Family Adventure. The entire family may interact with a dolphin up close and personal. A trainer will be on hand to offer a pleasant and educational shallow water experience.

How about snorkelling at Sea World’s Tropical Reef lagoon? Beautiful tropical fish, majestic rays, and other intriguing aquatic life await you. For the length of your snorkel, you’ll be accompanied by an expert Dive Leader.

End your lovely day with a lovely family dinner

It’s great to end your family day with a delicious lunch at Mermaid Beach Tavern, the newest local pub and bistro. Schnitzels, steaks, burgers, pizzas, salads, share plates, ice-cold drinks, and live sporting entertainment are all available at this neighbourhood cafe. They stay open until late, still make a reservation.

Head to your home away from home

Return to your home away from home after a beautiful day. The Aruba Beach Resort is in the heart of Aruba’s thriving Gold Coast. It provides spacious Gold Coast holiday apartments with fully equipped kitchens, living areas, and private balconies with views of the Gold Coast’s year-round sunlight.
