Celebrate the 2023 Gold Coast Show

August 3, 2023

Prepare for a thrilling long weekend and participate in the fun and excitement of the 2023 Gold Coast Show. This yearly spectacular on the Gold Coast’s Broadwater Parklands celebrates everything colourful, exciting, and unforgettable.

The three-day Gold Coast Show is a community-driven celebration of Queensland’s second-largest city’s agricultural legacy and diversified current culture. Over 120,000 people attend the event to enjoy a variety of city and country competitions, demonstrations and displays, free live entertainment, a carnival atmosphere, rides, and famous fireworks.

Here’s what you can expect at this year’s Gold Coast Show which runs from September 1 to 3!

Entertainment

Prepare to be enthralled by a spectacular lineup of live music acts, mesmerising exhibitions, and heartwarming performances that will leave you speechless.

The electrifying energy of bands, musicians, and performers will fill the Triple M Loud and Live stage, setting the stage for unforgettable experiences. Immerse yourself in the rhythms and melodies that will arouse your senses and make your heart race. Witness the wonders of roving entertainment, where you’ll come face to face with live dinosaurs that will transport you back to prehistoric times, among other things!

Wood Chop

The woodchop competition is a serious affair. Men and women work hard and compete throughout the state (and occasionally the country) to become the greatest in their respective sports.

The Gold Coast Show honours local contestants and generations of families who compete together. Catch the Wood Chop Competition at the Gold Coast Show’s northern end (near the swimming pool) next to the Farmland Precinct.

Show Dogs

Take advantage of the Show Dogs Competition when fuzzy cuteness, fun, and excitement collide! This traditional show event showcases four-legged companions’ incredible ability and beauty, with top-tier dogs of all kinds and sizes competing for the ultimate title.

Pony Rides

This wonderful pony ride experience will fulfil your child’s desire. Pony rides will be available at the Farmland Precinct, located at the northern end of Broadwater Parkland. Pony rides cost $8 and are offered from 9 am to 4 pm during the festival.

Camel Rides

The camel ride is a popular attraction at the Gold Coast Show. The Broadwater Parklands provide the perfect backdrop for the camel rides, which are usually popular and are returning this year. Camel rides will be available on the Southern Beach at the southern end of the Broadwater Parklands. The ride costs $10, payable in cash or by EFTPOS at the Gold Coast Show.

The family may enjoy these and many other attractions at the forthcoming Gold Coast Show. You can utilise public transportation, such as the G: Link services, available from 9 am to 9 pm on each Show Day at standard G: Link travel fees. Broadwater Parklands is the light rail stop for the Show.

Parking is also available at the Carey Car Park, through Marine Parade in Southport. Parking costs $10 per vehicle per visit. Accessible parking is likewise free of charge, but vehicles must have PWD / Accessible stickers to gain entry. Parking is also available at Australia Fair.
