5 Gold Coast Attractions to Visit During the School Holidays

September 5, 2022

We’re approaching the spring school holiday, and Gold Coast has you covered. The area is brimming with family-friendly attractions that the whole family will enjoy.

Level Up Arcade

In Oasis Shopping Center, you will find an arcade that embodies the 1980s and 1990s. Level Up Arcade provides an upscale amusement facility for children, adults, teens, and families.

Over 62 of the top games from this era are available there. In addition, they have 40 old-school games, a pool table, 3D pong, special edition pinballs, and Lane Master Bowling. The whole family will undoubtedly have a great time at the Level Up Arcade. The licensed amusement centre is on level 1 of The Oasis Shopping Centre.

SkyPoint Climb

Consider booking a thrilling adventure for the whole family. Discover breathtaking 360-degree views of the Gold Coast, extending from the surf to the hinterland and beyond. Travel 270 meters above sea level by taking the SkyPoint Climb.

There are many climbs, including dawn, day, dusk, and night. Each SkyPoint Climb lasts 90 minutes and includes all you need, including complimentary access to the SkyPoint Observation Deck before or after, a group photo, the iconic SkyPoint Climb Cap, and, of course, a Climber Certificate.

Gold Coast Butterflies

Take your kids on an educational trip to Gold Coast Butterflies in Carrara Markets. Get in touch with nature at the Butterfly House enclosure by strolling among the lovely butterflies as they lazily flit about in a lush tropical garden.

See butterfly eggs, caterpillars, and chrysalis that may soon hatch before your eyes while learning about the butterfly life cycle. You also learn how to contribute to the conservation of butterflies in your backyard.

Warner Bros. Movie World

What would a school break be if not for trips to amusement parks? There are numerous Warner Brothers-related rides and experiences at Movie World. But the theme park also offers its visitors other activities and novel experiences.

Celebrate 80 years of Tweety over the break. From September 17 to October 10, you may dance to Tweety’s birthday surprise during the brand-new Tunes on Parade at 12:30 pm, and then see all your favourite characters in the 3:30 pm Star Parade.

Also, Fright Nights at Movie World is returning from October 1 through October 29. At Fright Night, you may experience five terrifying precincts, five mazes, four panic rooms, and six thrilling attractions.

Sea World

Another theme park you might want to check out over the school holiday is Sea World. In addition to rides and kid-friendly activities, the Gold Coast’s top marine animal park also features animal exhibits and educational performances.

Also scheduled for October 8 to 29 is Sea World Spooky Nights. There will be eight Spooktivities, including Monster Houses, Captain Blue Beard’s Tall Tales, and Ghostly Groove Dance Floor.

Oh, and don’t miss the Monster Mayhem Lightshow. The Sea World Spooky Lake is ablaze with vibrant lights, groovy music, and ghoulishly good fun during the most spectacular light show at Sea World Spooky Nights, which is brought to life by the most incredible monsters in town.

Are you excited to take the family to these attractions? Then make sure you also book your accommodation in advance.

In the centre of the energetic Gold Coast’s cosmopolitan Broadbeach is where you’ll find Aruba Beach Resort.

The resort provides Broadbeach Family Holiday Accommodation and leisure amenities. They also have knowledgeable employees who are eager to help. The tour desk can assist with activity booking and offer recommendations on where to go sightseeing.

Also, the bus stop outside the gate offers quick access to all theme parks. You can get from the northern areas of the Gold Coast to Surfers Paradise and the rest of the Gold Coast by taking a short walk to the Gold Coast light rail system.
